'Fallow Camp 2008' - Andrew Morrow - 2008
Last week I headed off with a good mate of mine Danny, for our annual week or two chasing the fallow around.
Danny started off in fine form taking a doe for meat on the first night
The next morning he got in on a nice buck and managed to slip a blackstump tipped arrow through him

Dannys buck taken with one arrow
The following morning Pego joined us at camp, and after a few unsuccessful stalks over the next two days he had to go back home, but told us he would come back with Antonio in a couple of days time. I had shot a spiker that morning and brought it back to camp, so I offered the meat to Pego.

The spiker, taken with one shot for 15 meters
The deer in the area seemed to go really quiet, and we wern't seeing much that interested us, so we decided to drive for a bit to try another property I had access on.
This proved to be a great move with me being able to get in on a nice buck and slip an arrow through him at 8 meters, he ran a bit but went down within 40 meters.
When I inspected him I was stoked, he was my best fallow so far

We had to head back to the other property to meet Pego and Antonio the next morning, and Pego was finally successful at taking his first fallow buck, and a great first buck at that.

Pego's first fallow buck
Danny also managed to take another nice buck that day too

Pegos scored another fine buck the next day too, but I don't have the pics yet (i'm sure you can help me out there Antonio)
Antonio had some great stalks, but unfortunately the luck just didn't go his way.
On the last day he put a great shot into a nice buck, but he was swallowed up by the thick bush and couldn't be found. hopefully I will find him sometime soon.

We then finished up the trip around the campfire with a happy camp and left with some great memories
It was a pleasure to share a camp with you guys
